AXL ROSE Sees Red After Fan Throws Drink At Him

June 25, 2007

DailyIndia.com reports that GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose was incensed at a concert at Brisbane, Australia, when a fan unhappy with the band's late arrival onstage threw a drink at him. Fans had spent 150 dollars per ticket to see the band's perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Center stage on Wednesday, and they were enraged by the band's late arrival at the venue.

Just as the group began singing their opening song "Welcome to the Jungle", a can of drink narrowly missed Rose.

The singer, who was splattered by the can's content, asked the audience to mind their behavior.

"Is that what you want? You want a battle. If you're going to act like that, then you know I don't have to be here,'' Axl was quoted as saying.

A report published in the Sydney Daily Telegraph states that Rose even proceeded to walk offstage throughout the set, forcing his bandmates to improvise extended solos to cover his absence.
